Not Another Outdoor Blog is a source for information about trips, most with a focus on outdoor experiences.  I don't want to only share what I've experienced, I hope to encourage you to get excited for your own adventures and provide you with vetted resources to explore.

The Gal

Hey! I'm Kelsey and I love planning trips.  I'll spend hours and hours reading blogs, books, articles, and reviews online in the months leading up to a trip.  The research process is definitely at least 50% of the fun for me.  My husband, Kevin, and my cat, Tigo, are my perfect little family and we currently live in southern Oregon.

I'm not just a lover/blogger of outdoor adventure. I'm also a student of outdoor adventure and I believe in constantly building my own skillset to better serve myself and others in outdoor spaces.  Here are some highlights from my outdoor resume.

The Philosophy

So, we're not millionaires.  My husband and I both work full time, rent a house, and have bills to pay.  We are able to prioritize adventure in our lives by choosing to camp rather than stay in luxury hotels (most of the time), hitting the grocery store rather than every hip eatery, and investing in quality outdoor and travel equipment that is easily maintainable and will last for years.   Through many discussions and values-finding exercises, we've decided that while we can, we will always prioritize travel and experiences.  To us, the journey is as important as the destination (not to mention the cold beer after an awesome adventure).  We maximize our time at each destination and approach each trip as if it's our one and only opportunity to go there.

To summarize, we minimize cost where we can, maximize time spent adventuring, and remember to find joy in every stage of the adventure.
